Staying in an overwater bungalow in Fiji

Staying in an Overwater Bungalow in Fiji!

If you’ve ever dreamed of staying in an overwater bungalow in Fiji, Koro Sun Resort & Rainforest Spa can now make your fantasy a reality.

On June 1, 2015 the 160-acre Fijian resort on Vanua Levu island unveiled its Edgewater Floating Bures, eight individually designed thatched roof overwater bungalows made for romance. The first of their kind in all of Fiji and the Pacific. Air conditioned and reserved for two guests, each is furnished with a king size captain’s bed adorned with a contemporary Fijian-style bedspread, built in lounge, countertop bar, refrigerator, private deck with day bed and its own private dock. Other touches in these 380-square-foot bungalows include a contemporary bathroom with rain shower, Raintree wood benches and countertops, and Pure Fiji personal care amenities.

With their direct on-the-water experience on the resort’s exclusive adults-only peninsula, Koro Sun’s Floating Edgewater Bures further indulge with a personal kayak tied to your private front deck and floating within a protected marina.

The deluxe Fiji resort also features 10 private Edgewater Bures next to the water’s edge, with a private beach area and ladder leading directly into the lagoon. Also designed exclusively for couples, the spacious traditional Fijian-style accommodations offer beautiful views of the Koro Sea and reefs just beyond.

Your all-inclusive Fiji vacation in an overwater bungalow at Koro Sun Resort includes everything from Savusavu Airport transfers to lavish gourmet fare (meals inclusive rates only). All bure and overwater bungalow stays also include check-in service at Koro Sun’s Club House, coconut oil foot rub/bath upon arrival, three meals daily, bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival and afternoon tea.

Among the non-motorized activities featured in the all-inclusive plan are swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, rainforest trekking, paddle boarding, hand line fishing, traditional lovo feast (traditional Fijian cuisine), meke (Fijian song and dance), and visits to a Fijian village school and pearl farm.

Guests can also access the Edgewater Beach Club, with its swim-up Wai Bar. Special packages offered throughout the year include discount rates plus services like Koro Sun spa treatments and diving excursions.

You can also spend your day lazing on the beach, exploring the offshore reef with Koro Sun’s PADI certified Namena Divers crew, fine-tuning your putting on our nine-hole golf course, or indulging in a banana leaf body wrap or coconut oil massage in Koro Sun’s enchanting Rainforest Spa. The resort’s adventure team will also personalize experiences like exploring the botanical gardens and hiking to a tumbling waterfall where you can splash in the cool pools beneath.
